David Dufresne (he/him)

David started his career in the Canadian VC industry in the early 2000s and then pursued entrepreneurial roles at music tech startups Bandcamp and Bandzoogle. He came back to VC in 2016 and co-founded both 500 Startups Canada and Panache Ventures. After 2 years where he has been angel investing and advising different VC firms and startups, David recently launched CMD Capital, a new seed-stage VC firm focused on Canadian startups that use AI in non-trivial ways to solve mission-critical industry problems.
